Neurogenetics Program

 

The Neurogenetics clinic is a consultative clinic and offers genetic evaluation, testing and counseling of patients with a variety of inherited neurological disorders.  We offer services to children and adults with mental retardation or developmental delay, congenital anomalies, chromosome abnormalities, neuromuscular disorders such as Charcot Marie Tooth disease, Muscular dystrophies and other muscle disorders, mitochondrial disorders and movement disorders such as Huntington disease, ataxias, dystonia and familiar forms of Parkinson disease. Teratogen counseling for anti-convulsive therapy is also available. For some disorders, patients are also offered the opportunity to participate in multicenter genetic studies if available.
